MY YEARLY GOAL-SETTING PROCESS

Guides on how to simplify your goal-setting process

I would love to say a huge HAPPY NEW YEAR to youšŸŽ‰. I don’t know about you, but I really love New Years. There’s such an exciting energy of starting afresh and getting to begin the year with the exact intention you want to.

āž”ļø But what can feel really challenging about New Year’s is that it’s SO easy to get pulled in million different directions before the year even starts.

There are a billion goals you could set in so many categories . Some of these categories could be your business, your health, your family, your community. But these goals can be pretty overwhelming..lol

Before I continue, I wanna ask a question. How many of us take our time to write down amazing goals for the year but once we’re ready to start working towards them, we find ourselves giving up? šŸ¤”
šŸ˜‚ it’s just too overwhelming at once.

Hope you can relate?

I know I’ve been there. šŸ‘‹ And I bet you have, too.

So, as I’m sitting and writing this blog to you, I was thinking it could be really fun to walk you through the exercise that’s helped me simplify my goal-setting process.

šŸ”¼That’s the link to this to my YouTube channel; please help me grow this community by subscribing

This video reveals the exercise that helps to get me aligned + focused before diving into a new year, and if you don’t already have a yearly routine around goal setting, I’d encourage you to do this, too.

Intrigued? Okay, let’s dive in. ā¬‡ļø

My Yearly goal-setting process is more like walking through a handful of questions and really allowing myself to sit with each question.

…get really honest with yourself…

This is not a 20 minutes process where you have to rush yourself. You should give yourself enough time; light a candle. Set the tone. Then give yourself uninterrupted space to get really honest with yourself and dive in.

(If you aren’t in that place right now, feel free to save this blog/ the YouTube video and come back to it later.)

Prompt 1: Reflect on the previous year

Prompt 2: write down your vision for the year

Prompt 3: Where can you be more focused?

Check out the video upload on YouTube to see how I detailed out the contents of each prompt.

Here’s the reality – you can totally add other goals later if you’ve accomplished this one, but I think it’s important to go all in on one unapologetically ambitious goal rather than only halfway commit to a ton of little goals.

Agree? šŸ˜‰

And that’s it! I’d give yourself at least 30 mins for each of those prompts + you can even look out for my video titled How to breakdown goal-setting questions.
āž”ļø Look out for my challenge for you in the YouTube upload.
That goal you wrote down? It is SO possible for you. And I can’t wait to support you throughout the rest of the year as you make it happen.

Happy New Year from Melsa Daily. I’ll talk to you soon.
