SLEEPING LATE MIGHT BE BETTER

This blog is not written to encourage or discourage anyone to do what otherwise you would or would not have done. It is solely for the purpose of enlightenment.

We need to know what time is the best time for someone to retire to bed. When can it be said that one has gone to bed early or late?

In the normal life order, we would find ourselves sleeping early and waking up early all ready for a productive day. But this does not work for everybody because of one commitment or the other like jobs, ill health, childcare etc. This at first can be stressing on their physical and mental appearances but consistency makes it becomes a habit thus, making their body system conversant with this routine. But in all, whether your routine starts at sunset or at peak of the night or at the crow of a cock, it is of great importance to go to bed while it is still dark because it is easier to fall asleep when its dark.

Sleeping early and waking up early
Normal life order,…

Do you know we humans possess an internal clock known as Circadian Rhythm which is our brain’s natural sleep-wake schedule. The moment you get used to going to and waking up from bed at the same time each day, your brain adapts to this schedule. Everyone experiences dip natural alertness during certain times in 24-hours. Mostly, people are at their sleepiest at two points: between 1PM. and 3PM. and between 2AM. and 4AM.

PLEASE NOTE, SLEEPING LATE IS FAR DIFFERENT FROM NOT GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP!!!

Let us have a breakdown of average sleeping amount by age differences according to experts:πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

0–3 months β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 14–17 hours total 4-12 months β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 12–16 hours total 1–2 years β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 11–14 hours total 3–5 years β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 10–13 hours total 9-12 years β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 9–12 hours total 13–18 years β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 8–10 hours total 18–60 years β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 7hours per night 61–64 years β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’β€’ 7–9 hours per night 65years & older β€’β€’7–8 hours per night

Do you know just as there are side effects of not getting sleeping, there are also side effects of getting enough sleep. 😯[huh!] I guess you had no idea. Do not worry, I will be posting a blog on that topic soon after this.

Circadian Rhythm
Our brain’s sleep-wake schedule

IN SUMMARY,

The best time to go to sleep at night is a time frame in which you can achieve the recommended sleep recommendation for your age group. You can figure out the best bedtime for your schedule based on when you have to wake up in the morning and counting backward by 7 hours.

Talk to a doctor if you are having trouble falling asleep at night, or if you continue to experience daytime sleepiness despite sticking with a consistent bedtime schedule. This could indicate issues with sleep quality, which could warrant further investigation.
